Welcome to the website of the Stow Roses - the Women's Institute in E17.

Established in Walthamstow in October 2013, the Stow Roses Women's Institute is one of the biggest WIs in London, comprising 70 women from across the borough of all ages and from all backgrounds.  We are a welcoming, diverse, non-political and non-religious voluntary organisation that is run by our members for our members.

We meet on the first Wednesday of every month at 7.30pm at the Walthamstow Trades Hall, 61-63 Tower Hamlets Road E17 4RQ

Our programme includes a wide variety of activities - from crafts to gardening, from baking to women's issues, to initiatives aimed at supporting and enriching our local community.  The WI is first and foremost a voluntary organisation so members are actively encouraged to volunteer to help run events outside of the monthly meetings, such as stalls at local events, etc. as well as helping with the programme of monthly meetings.

We have an active programme of sub-groups too - a book group (Literary Roses), a rambling group (Rambling Roses), a film club (Reel Women), a supper club (Edible Roses), an art appreciation group (Abstract Roses), craft group (Woolthamsew), Stowaways which is a group which visits other WI's around the area, and Waltham Fourist, for all those things Londoners never visit and miss out on in London.

Please visit our membership page for details of our membership plans for 2019 and how to book tickets to attend one of our meetings as a guest.

Thank you for visiting our website.
